Tom Altobelli is a

Professional Bassist, Composer, Arranger & Teacher.

Currently based in Hamilton, Ontario.

Tom Altobelli is an Upright and Electric freelance bassist, currently located in Hamilton, ON.  He is a professional musician who has been playing gigs for the last fourteen years in the GTHA. 

He is a current member of the Local Musicians Union (293), and is versatile in a number of different styles. This includes jazz, funk, Rhythm and Blues, Afrobeat, Hip-hop, Country, Metal, and the list goes on.

He works actively in a number of different projects, including The Beelays, The Koopa Troop, The Kojo Damptey Band, and The Aubrey Wilson Quartet, along with leading his own creative projects(Tom Altobelli Group).  Tom has released two albums under his own name, including 2020's The Home Sessions (self- produced and recorded Instrumental Jazz/ Hip-Hop), and 2015's The HAVN Sessions( 5 piece original jazz style compositions).

He has recently completed his MA (Master of Arts Degree) for Music Composition, and will in graduate in October 2020 from York University. He continues to work on his own original compositions, with the hopes of another eventual release, in the style of Afrobeat Music.  He is also a graduate of both the Humber College Bachelor of Music, and Mohawk College Music programs respectively, where he studied jazz, and majored in Bass Performance.
